Where the Name Comes From
Clifton and Georgina Hickman started Reviving Hope in January 2025. The name honors Hope, the child they lost to miscarriage at eight weeks. The practice exists so people can find licensed, clinically trained counselors who also see their struggles through the lens of the gospel. Read our full story.
How We Work as a Team
We are four counselors who know each other’s strengths and refer to one another on purpose. If the first person you talk to is not the best fit for what you are carrying, we will tell you, and we will connect you with someone on our team who is.
One standard of honesty. Every client signs our no-secrets policy. If something comes out in individual counseling that belongs to the marriage, it gets brought to the couple, either by the client or by the counselor.
Coordinated care for couples. When spouses see different counselors here, we only coordinate with a signed release of information from both of you.
Clinical training under Scripture. Every counselor here is licensed, clinically trained, and a Christian. We use the best of what our field offers and filter it through Scripture.

Clifton Hickman
LPC (#85208), CSAT, EMDR Trained, Gottman Level 3, Foundations in Biblical Counseling (CCEF)
Clifton co-founded Reviving Hope and specializes in helping men break free from porn addiction, sex addiction, and affairs. He also sees couples for any issue, from communication and conflict to rebuilding trust, and uses EMDR in his trauma work. He has written as a guest author for Covenant Eyes. He sees adults and couples 18 and older and leads the practice’s Tuesday night men’s recovery group. Read Clifton’s story.
Georgina Hickman
LPC (#85616), EMDR Trained, CST Associate
Georgina co-founded Reviving Hope and sees individuals and couples for a wide range of struggles, including anxiety, women’s issues, marriage conflict, and trauma of any kind. She uses EMDR in her trauma work. She also leads our betrayal trauma care for women who have discovered a husband’s porn use, sex addiction, or affair. Sarah Hanlin

Sarah works with teens 13 and older and adults walking through grief, anxiety, and trauma. Families often call her when a teenager is struggling, including kids feeling the fallout of a parent’s addiction or a divorce. Read Sarah’s story.
Matthew Bacchus
